Cook (Sunbeam Place)

• Plan and purchase ingredients in the most cost effective manner.
• Ensure all food and ingredients are stored and handled according to hygiene standards and SOPs.
• Plan menus ahead of time with sufficient variety and according to guidelines from HPB / nutrition guidelines.
• Prepare food quantity that meets the needs of the residents and avoid food wastage.
• Plan and prepare food for ad-hoc special occasions.

Requirements:

• Minimum primary school education
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience
• Strong sense of hygiene and cleanliness.
• Flexible and open to feedback with regards to the food intake needs of the Home.
• Enjoys working in a setting with children and young persons.
• Able to work shift hours.
