Job Description

Requirements:

  • Able to cook vegeterian north and south Indian cuisines
  • Weigh, measure, mix and prepare ingredients according to the recipes.
  • Steam, grill, boil, cut vegetables and other ingredients.
  • Mix and prepare indian spices
  • Check food and ingredients for freshness.
  • Arrange and garnish dishes to make them look appealing to the customers.
  • Ensure that the kitchen area, equipment and utensils are cleaned. Practice proper hygiene and sanitation.
  • Handle additional tasks as assigned by the head cook

Responsibilities:

  • Prior experience in related food and beverage service and food preparation positions.
  • Good experience with preparing Indian vegetarian dishes.
  • Good working knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and health codes.
  • Ability to use slicers, mixers, grinders, etc.
  • Able to handle work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work on week ends and public holidays.
