Job Description

Corporate Secretary - Manager

Leadership and Management:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the company secretary department.
  • Manage and mentor a team responsible for corporate secretarial services and compliance tasks.
  • Conduct periodic governance reviews and recommend improvements.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Regulatory Compliance Management:

  • Monitor changes in legal and regulatory requirements, ensuring alignment with the company's operations.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance across all activities.
  • Ensure clients compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations.
  • Leverage professional certifications to enhance the quality of company secretarial services.
  • Develop and implement compliance strategies to mitigate risks.

Client Engagement and Advisory:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients utilizing professional local director services, guiding on compliance matters.
  • Conduct due diligence on prospective clients to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
  • Advise clients on best practices and emerging trends in corporate governance.
  • Oversee and implement robust corporate governance frameworks for clients.
  • Understand clients business objectives and tailor services accordingly.

Risk Management and Reporting:

  • Identify and assess potential risks associated with professional local director services, implementing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Generate regular reports on compliance activities, regulatory updates, and potential risks for internal stakeholders.

Collaboration and Training:

  • Collaborate with internal departments, legal counsel, and external advisors on compliance-related issues.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff members on compliance protocols and professional local directorship responsibilities.
  • Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, or a related field.
  • 4 to 8 years of relevant compliance, legal, or corporate services experience.
  • Excellent understanding of local laws and regulations related to corporate services.
  • Experience in managing teams and providing leadership.
  • Membership of relevant professional bodies and certifications preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
