Lendlease are currently seeking an experienced Cost Planning Engineer to join our high performing delivery team in Singapore for a 24-months fixed term.
Your Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To
Key Accountabilities
- Manage and be accountable for all tender and project cost estimation, preparation of bills of quantities and assessment of major variation claims across the business
- Manage the implementation of cost planning strategies and plan and coordinate with other project and construction management functions
- Support the commercial teams in the preparation of related tender documents, subcontract administration, project cost control, resolution of contractual claims, progress payments and finalization of accounts, as well as in the evaluation of commercial risks, where required
- Additionally, you will be an expert across contract management, construction law and quantity surveying. It goes without saying that your strength must be aligned with to the building sector.
- Leadership skills will also be key as will a passion for customer focused outcomes, driving safety, quality, and sustainability, along with the ability to demonstrate strong communication skills, and a collaborative nature. Both are key with engaging with multiple internal, external and client stakeholder groups.
Requirements
- Recognized tertiary qualifications in Building, Quantity Surveying or related disciplines, with advanced subject matter knowledge across the functions and expert people management skills
- Minimum 6 years relevant experience in a professional office or construction organization, preferably with working knowledge of design and build projects
- Experience in general industrial, retail, commercial, institutional, hospitality and high technology / Life science sectors with project values in excess of $200M will be advantageous
- Proven leadership and people management skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills
