Counsellor

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide case work, counselling and trauma-focused therapy
• Provide home based counselling
• Support clients through full spectrum of case management, including regular follow-up and communication
• Complete assessments and reports and any other administrative requirements related to case management
• Lead team and developing trauma-related programmes
• Build good rapport with relevant stakeholders and external agencies in order to mobilise resources to meet client's needs
• Provide supervision for staff
• Participate in internal research

Requirements

• Degree in psychology/counselling or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years experience in the social service sector
• Relevant work experience will be considered
• At least 2 years of experience providing clinical supervision
• Familiar with parenting / family issues and care of children with social issues
• Trauma-informed and knowledge of attachment issues will be an advantage
• Good report writing skills
• Bilingual, with good communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to multi-task and open to learning
• Responsible, resilient, self-motivated and a team player
• Able to work during weekends and evenings, when required
