We are partnering a Social Services organisation exclusively to appoint a Country/Singapore Payroll Manager (circa. $80-90k base excluding bonuses) who will sit under their Human Resources Shared Services (HRSS) team. Guided by the mission of doing good and helping families reach their full potential, they have seen steady growth in their product offerings over the years. This position will be based in Singapore.
Reporting into the Head of HR Shared Services, your responsibilities involve taking helm of the inhouse payroll function for Singapore (approximating 3,000 employees). You will manage a team of five other Payroll specialists to collate and review payroll information monthly, as well as process payment in a timely and accurate manner. As a member of the HRSS team, you will take on operational tasks (e.g. leave management) but also participate in the review of relevant workflows meant to raise efficiency, particularly through the use of relevant system tools/programs.
We are looking for a payroll expert with a strong track record processing high volume payroll inhouse, especially across multiple entities. This naturally entails individuals who are meticulous, attentive to details and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Team lead experience is another critical criterion (minimally having managed three/four members) since the role will involve the provision of guidance and assistance to direct reports of varying seniority. Strong knowledge of major HR Information Systems (e.g. SuccessFactors, Workday) will be advantageous since they are guided by a strong push for automation.
