Credit Risk Analyst - (Risk Department/L2)
Our client, a reputable bank is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credit Risk Analyst - to join their risk department team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in credit administration, credit risk analysis, and providing business support in a financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough credit analysis and assessment as 2nd line of defence, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Manage credit administration processes, including credit documentation, loan agreements, and collateral management.
- Perform in-depth credit risk analysis on existing and potential clients, evaluating financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate credit risks and optimize credit portfolio performance.
- Provide business support by assisting in the formulation of credit policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Relationship Managers, Credit Officers, and Legal teams, to facilitate effective credit risk management processes.
- Monitor and track credit exposures, identify emerging risks, and escalate issues as necessary.
- Prepare comprehensive credit risk reports and presentations for senior management and regulatory authorities.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments, and best practices in credit risk management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, FRM) preferred.
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in credit risk analysis, credit administration, or related roles within the financial services industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and assess credit risks effectively.
- In-depth understanding of credit risk models, methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in managing credit administration processes and maintaining accurate documentation.
