A Snapshot
As the Critical Safety Risk Lead, you will report to the Director, Development Safety and work closely with various teams and leadership across the Asia Pacific region, making your mark in a number of ways:
- Improve business wide focus on, and understanding of Safety critical risk management.
- Design and implement a structured and practical approach to critical risk management.
- Facilitate continual improvement of critical risk management, and gathering of appropriate data to facilitate trending, analysis and insights.
- Undertaking robust due diligence around critical risk needs.
- Ensure design solutions to operational critical risks are embedded within company specifications.
- Reviewing assurance and event outcomes for lessons involving critical risks and controls.
Your Day to Day
- Identify, assess and focus on Safety critical risks that are present within the business.
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures specifically aimed at managing critical risks.
- Conduct regular and thorough risk assessments and safety audits focused on critical risks and controls.
- Provide specialized training and guidance to employees on critical risk management practices.
- Investigate incidents, audits and near-misses involving critical risks to identify root causes and implement preventative actions.
- Collaborate with other teams to integrate critical risk management practices into all aspects of operations.
- Prepare and present detailed safety reports on critical risks to senior management.
- Champion and support the management of critical risk across the business.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in safety management with a experience either building or working with mature critical risk programs.
- Experience working in the construction industry preferred.
- Experience in assurance, risk assessment and incident investigation.
- Experience managing and influencing stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Bachelor's degree in health and safety or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of critical risk management, applicable standards and industry best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
