Job Description

Sims Group Ltd has export facilities across the globe that handle millions of tons of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap annually. This position in the Customer Service Department integrates documentation associated with Sims Global Non-Ferrous trade sales contracts and play an important role in keeping customers satisfied
  • What you'll be doing:
  • Handle and prepare full set shipping documents including invoice, packing list, letter of credit, marine insurance etc. in a timely mannerof I/E, LC and banking documents
Liaise and coordinate with suppliers, customers and forwarding agents to ensure smooth and timely cargo delivery
  • Liaise directly with shipping lines for draft BL, BL amendment and master BL security printing
Calculating of pricing for hedge contracts to ensure correct pricing is invoiced
  • Interact with customers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns and requests about documentation and operational matters in a timely and accurate manner and providing excellent customer services
Collaborating with other teams, such as traders and fixation, to ensure that customer needs are met and that any issues are resolved promptly
  • Handle ad-hoc tasks assigned by team leader

Minimum qualificatoins:

  • Diploma/ Higher Nitec with minimum 2 years experience in logistics related role.
Relevant certification required as well as formal logistics or equivalent educational background preferred.
  • Fundamental understanding of international export documents, containerized shipments, and/or incoterms preferred.
Possess a strong customer-centric personality and mindset.
  • Good command of written and spoken languages with PC knowledge proficiency
Highly organized and proactive individual who has a keen eye for detail coupled with a passion for providing exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-minded with good organizational and inter-personal skills.
Able to work well independently, handling high work volume, working with tight deadline in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, responsible and process oriented.
