Cyber Security Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Project Management: Oversee sourcing, planning, and delivery of infrastructure security projects, ensuring timely and effective outcomes.
• Tool Implementation: Lead planning and delivery for centralized security platforms, including VA Tools, PIAM, MFA, and Secure Remote Access Tools.
• Security Enhancements: Initiate new security projects to enhance security controls, efficiency, and usability while maintaining compliance.
• Task Monitoring: Track project tasks, escalate delays, and coordinate with stakeholders as necessary.
• Team and Vendor Management: Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to meet project goals.
• Technology Awareness: Stay updated on emerging security technologies, threats, and vulnerabilities.
• Documentation: Maintain and update all role-related technical documentation.

Required Skills

• Educational Background: Degree in IT or equivalent, with experience in telecommunications or banking.
• Technical Leadership: 2+ years as a technical lead in security-related projects (LAN/WAN, Linux, Windows systems).
• Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, and authorization.
• Tool Implementation: Hands-on experience with firewalls, vulnerability assessment, SIEM, PIAM, and endpoint security.
• Network & OS Knowledge: Experience with IP networking, OS-hardening, UNIX, Windows platforms (AD, SCCM).
• Compliance Knowledge (preferred): Familiarity with Singapore Cybersecurity Act 2018, ISO 27001, and CIS hardening guides.
• Certifications (preferred): CISSP, RHSE, MCSE.
