Known for its dynamic, fast-paced environment, the company is currently seeking a skilled Compliance Manager to join its growing team and contribute to advancing the company's global compliance framework.
Responsibilities
In this mid-level role based in Singapore, you will work closely with the Chief Legal Officer and VP of Ethics & Compliance to enhance and manage the company's compliance policies and regulatory initiatives across multiple jurisdictions. This position will focus on data privacy while supporting a broader compliance scope, ensuring that the company adheres to relevant regulations and industry standards worldwide. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the development, documentation, and implementation of compliance policies and procedures to support the Ethics & Compliance team within the Legal & Secretariat department.
- Leading efforts in areas of personal data protection, anti-bribery measures, trade sanctions, and ethics, with an emphasis on translating local and international regulations into actionable company policies.
- Administering third-party due diligence, managing vendor risk, and handling compliance risk areas, such as sanctions red flags or bribery concerns.
- Creating and delivering compliance training programs, including e-learning modules, in-person sessions, and organization-wide compliance communications.
- Collaborating with business units to establish compliance-related processes and effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management.
- Managing incident responses for data breaches and assisting in ongoing compliance initiatives as required across jurisdictions.
- Taking a proactive approach to stay updated with regulatory changes and enhance the organization's compliance standards.
Requirements
- A degree in Law preferred.
- Professional certification in data protection (such as Singapore PDPA certification or GDPR) or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in compliance, particularly in data privacy, regulatory compliance, and/or ethics.
- Solid understanding of legal and regulatory requirements in Singapore and other key jurisdictions (US, UK, EU).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to draft clear policies and deliver precise communications to various stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with strong initiative, adaptable in a fast-paced environment, and resilient with a high level of professionalism.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a global team structure, fostering positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Open to learning new areas within regulatory and compliance frameworks as required.
Location: Singapore, Changi Office (4 days a week on-site).
