Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough data analysis and implement data-driven solutions to support customer issue troubleshooting, utilizing statistical modelling and machine learning techniques to identify root causes and provide actionable insights for resolution
  • Partner with field engineering teams to analyse data from plasma etching systems and provide timely, meaningful and accurate analysis results to support data-driven improvement
  • Communicate effectively with both customers and internal teams, present complex data analysis findings or results to stakeholders in a concise, effective and understandable manner
  • Develop advance statistical and machine learning algorithms to extract insights from large and complex data sets, and work with internal engineering team to evaluate the effectiveness of the algorithms
  • Collaborate with global data engineering teams to share best practices and work on cross-functional projects that require data science expertise
  • Manage and maintain the internal analytics solutions, supporting continuous development and implementation, and ensuring that data integrity and accuracy are always maintained
  • Develop and conduct training sessions for local engineers on data analytics skills such as JMP and KNIME
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Microelectronics, Data Science, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, including manufacturing equipment, fabrication facilities, semiconductor components, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Data Scientist within the semiconductor industry, with specific expertise in plasma dry etch processes.
  • Expertise in developing and deploying algorithms for process optimization and problem-solving.
  • Strong understanding of data analytics, statistical methodologies, machine learning techniques, and predictive modeling.
  • Proficient in data science tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, JSL, R) for data processing, visualization, and analysis.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting and build positive relationships with customers.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and resourceful team player.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
