Our client, one of the biggest technology companies in Asia, is seeking a Data Scientist with a strong focus on recommendation systems to join their dynamic data science team. In this role, you will drive the development of cutting-edge machine learning models that power personalized recommendations and ranking systems across various products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, leveraging data to optimize user experiences and enhance business performance.
In this role, you will get to:
Lead the Development of Recommendation Systems
Design, build, and implement advanced recommendation algorithms (e.g., collaborative filtering, content-based filtering, and deep learning methods) to deliver personalized experiences to users.
Optimize ranking algorithms and metrics to improve the effectiveness of recommendation systems across different platforms.
Drive Data Science Projects
Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of multiple data science projects, ensuring timely and successful execution from research and development to production.
Continuously improve existing models through experimentation, A/B testing, and performance optimization.
Collaborate with Product Teams
Partner with product managers and domain experts to understand user needs and business goals, translating these into technical requirements for machine learning models.
Work closely with engineers and data scientists to deploy recommendation systems at scale, ensuring seamless integration into existing product ecosystems.
You'll be successful if you have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics/Maths, or a related field (Master's or Ph.D. is a plus).
4+ years of hands-on experience in data science, Machine Learning or AI
Proven expertise in recommendation algorithms, including collaborative filtering, content-based methods, and the application of deep learning to recommendations.
Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with machine learning libraries
Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
Experience working with cloud platforms (preferably GCP) and containerization technologies.
Demonstrated ability to lead data science projects, from conceptualization to deployment, with a focus on driving business impact.
Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively.
A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
