Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Database Administrator (DBA) to join our client. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the management, maintenance, and optimization of our databases, ensuring their smooth operation and performance. The ideal candidate will have experience working with both Oracle and SQL Server, with a strong background in system development and query optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee database management activities, including upgrades, patching, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Ensure database backup, recovery processes, and disaster recovery planning are in place and regularly maintained.
- Create and maintain detailed design documentation for all database management activities.
- Establish and enforce database standards, procedures, and best practices to ensure data integrity and security.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in database administration.
- Strong proficiency in Oracle and SQL Server.
- Experience in scripting, query tuning, and optimization.
- Familiarity with system development and integration processes.
- Experience in banking/financial industry is a MUST.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to resolving database issues.
