Our client, a multinational corporation, specializes in delivering customized global and local communication solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of each region. They are currently seeking a DC Engineer, Assistant Manager.
What you will be doing
- Oversee regular operations of data center facilities, including vendor management and coordination of maintenance tasks.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts to ensure rapid recovery from system or facility failures.
- Monitor equipment performance to maintain efficiency and drive continuous service improvement.
- Develop and implement mid-to-long term plans for facility upgrades and improvements to ensure stability and effectiveness.
- Conduct site tours of the data center, assist the sales team with proposals, and address customer inquiries related to data center services as needed.
- Establish operational, maintenance, and emergency procedures to maintain the facility's condition and ensure all equipment is in optimal working order.
- Train team members on first-level troubleshooting for data center facilities.
- Perform additional duties as necessary in alignment with this role.
What they are looking for
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data center maintenance or operations management.
- At least 3 years of experience in managing a team effectively.
- Proficient in building facility management and knowledgeable about electrical and mechanical systems, including generators, transformers, UPS, CRAC units, CCTV, access systems, and fire extinguishers.
- Demonstrated experience in risk management, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity related to data center operations.
- Proven ability to set up SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), along with experience in planning preventive maintenance for equipment.
- Strong English communication skills to engage effectively with customers, colleagues, vendors, and utility providers.
