Job Purpose
The Deputy Director, Healthcare Redesign Department, is responsible for driving the implementation and adoption of technology-enabled care transformation within Alexandra Hospital. Reporting to the Clinical Director, the Deputy Director will work closely to provide intellectual and organizational leadership and to build the capabilities to execute the department's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Strategy:Provide leadership in the development and execution of strategic initiatives aimed at transforming healthcare delivery through innovative technology. Collaborate with the Clinical Director and other stakeholders to align departmental goals with the broader objectives of Alexandra Hospital. Oversee the translation of clinical research and innovation into practice and policy, focusing on pragmatic and effectiveness-implementation hybrid trials.
- Stakeholder Engagement:Engage with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to build capacity within the health system for the effective implementation of technology-enabled care models. Facilitate collaboration across various departments and with external partners to ensure the successful adoption of new care models.
- Project Management:Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of projects related to healthcare redesign, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget. Manage cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication and coordination across all project phases. Develop and implement methods for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of care transformation initiatives.
- Data and Knowledge Management:Strategize the use of clinical and administrative data to generate real-world evidence that informs practice, policy, and research. Lead efforts in knowledge translation, ensuring that data-derived insights are effectively communicated to inform clinical decision-making and policy development. Oversee the development of clinical guidelines and evidence synthesis to support healthcare transformation initiatives.
- Education and Capacity Building:Establish and manage programs for education and capacity-building within the hospital, ensuring that staff are equipped to engage with and implement new technologies. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Healthcare Management, Public Health, Health Services Research, or a related field.
- Over 15 years of experience in healthcare administration, research, or a related field, with a focus on healthcare system performance and innovation.
- Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams and managing large-scale healthcare projects.
- Experience in health system performance strategy, particularly in the context of translating research into practice.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
