Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide global leadership and direction in acceptance of Hazardous and special cargo
  • Ensure timely update to Dangerous Goods (DG)/ Special Cargo policy by keeping abreast of new developments and regulations
  • Lead in internal and external coordination to comply with regulations on hazardous and special cargo, internal e-learning programs and industry intelligence.
  • Lead in assessment and investigation of incidents and new hazardous and special shipments and provide guidance to subject matter experts
  • Supervise and provide support to regional and local offices engaging hazardous and special cargo acceptance
  • Provide leadership in digitalization and standardization of procedures by working with global office network
  • Enhance cargo screening processes

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in relevant discipline
  • At least 15 years in container shipping industry with hands-on experience in Haz-mat and special cargo
  • Strong knowledge of IMDG code and container stowage
  • Proven track record in managing DG and Special Cargo
  • Leadership skills to manage team in Global HQ and working with teams globally
  • Strong communication and partnership skills to work across functions and geographies
