Job Description
The appointee (Assistant Manager) will support the Head in overseeing MINDSET Learning Hub and be responsible to assist in the implementation of effective and efficient running of the vocational training and employment support programme. He will also lead the team in case management that supports persons-in-recovery through their vocational goal-setting, skills coaching, and classroom learning, leading to employment placements.
Programme & Centre Management
. Compile, update and develop Standards & Operating Procedures (SOPs) for MLH centre & programme management
. Support the implementation of operations plan and help to ensure efficient daily manpower deployment and operations in the centre (training centre with a cafe) at all times.
. Oversee administrative matters and data management- ensure required documents are submitted timely and systematically recorded for easy references.
. Identify and provide staff with needed guidance, resources and support in their delivery of respective services
. Contribute to developing training materials and facilitating classroom training.
Client and Case Management
. Screen and filter incoming enquiry and referral - establish contact with referral agencies to determine suitability of clients to be enrolled with MINDSET Learning Hub services.
. Assign cases to team and support team in the formulation of individualised plans for enrolled clients through case discussions.
. Case management and support of enrolled clients and enabling them through goal-setting, service linkages, resume and skills building, training and coaching, job preparedness, traineeship support, and employment placements.
. Provide support to employers for existing and potential clients placed with them.
Outreach and Engagements
. Present and advocate SAMH and MINDSET Learning Hub services and objectives to funders, hospitals, community partners and other stakeholders in centre and off-site.
. Represent SAMH and MINDSET Learning Hub in conferences, talks and workshops delivery to schools, hospitals, corporate companies, to promote awareness of mental health and wellbeing.
. Represent SAMH professionally through the participation of association-lead events and engagements.
. Engage, educate and enrol existing and potential employers in different sectors on mental health awareness, job redesign and job creations for persons-in-recovery.
. Organise in-centre networking and engagement events for enrolled clients, community partners, employers and to drive centre presence within the constituency.
Funder and Management Reporting
. Collation and preparation of programme outcomes statistics for management reporting, service review, scheduled funders reporting, and proposal writing for resourcing for MLH
Ad-Hoc Duties
. To carry out ad-hoc duties as may be assigned by the Head
Job Requirements
. Minimum Degree in any discipline.
. 3 years & above of work experience in a supervisory or team lead role in a social service env
. Background in programme management, learning and people development, social work , psychology is advantageous.
. Possess good understanding or experience in working with persons with mental health issues and other disability.
. Patient and passionate about working in social service and with persons with different special needs.
. Resilient to changes and possess good problem-solving skills to tackle operational, facility and administrative issues independently.
. Good written and communication skills - able to undertake presentations confidently to different stakeholders.
. A good team player in supporting other SAMH initiatives and events, when required.
. Willing to work in centre (Jurong) and off-site.
. Willing to work on some weekends, when required.
