Desktop Engineer (Tech refresh) - Contract

6 months contract (extendable based on project requirements)

Responsibilities:

- Primarily responsible as main coordinator and lead engineer for the refresh/ upgrade of Windows 10/ 11 desktop and laptops for the client.

- Working closely with Technical Project Manager and Leader to ensure all workstations are refreshed within project scope timeline with a strong emphasis on customer service experience for a smooth transition.

- Provisioning of desktops and laptops, data migration and re-installation of software

- Plan and liaise with users to schedule tech refresh appointment with users

- Work closely with IT Asset Management for the delivery and write-off of refresh assets, update of the hardware inventory

- Coordination with Application Support for re-installation of in-house application

- Assist users to perform data migration, brief user of the new asset issuance and signoff

- Troubleshoot software and hardware issue related to refresh

- Collect old devices and send to centralized storing areas and process decommission

- Generate progress report of day-to-day tech refresh/ upgrade activity

Qualifications:

- Atleast 1-2 years experience in desktop support

- Strong knowledge in Microsoft Windows 10/11 provisioning

- Troubleshooting of software and hardware

- Time management skills

- Good customer care skills

- Previous tech refresh experience is a plus
