This role is pivotal in deploying product updates, optimizing processes, and ensuring robust infrastructure to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Management: Build, set up, and maintain development tools and infrastructure crucial for project success.
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and frequent updates to our trading platform.
- Kubernetes Mastery: Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters and environments to support scalable and reliable operations.
- Automation and Streamlining: Implement integrations and automation processes to streamline development and release cycles.
- Security Oversight: Ensure the integrity and security of systems to protect against cybersecurity threats.
- Collaboration and Support: Work closely with software developers and engineers to ensure best practices are followed and the developmental goals align with business objectives.
- Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve technical issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Innovative Solutions: Develop applications for automated visualization and integration with internal backend systems.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years in DevOps roles, preferably in financial services or a similarly demanding sector.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong experience with major cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), container orchestration (especially Kubernetes), and infrastructure automation tools (such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef).
- Software Development Skills: Proficiency in using Git and understanding of Git workflows. Experience with scripting and programming languages.
- Database Management: Working knowledge of SQL and familiarity with database management practices.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese to effectively manage Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
