Job Title: Director of Acquisitions, APAC
Location: Singapore
We are working with a leading global real estate investment and asset management firm to hire a dynamic real estate investment professional to join the acquisitions team as a Director and focus on sourcing and executing strategic real estate investments across the APAC region. This leadership role requires a highly motivated, results-oriented professional with extensive knowledge of the region's real estate landscape and strong deal origination and execution capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investment Strategy and Sourcing: Develop and implement acquisition strategies aligned with the firm's growth objectives in APAC, focusing on high-quality opportunities in the region
- Deal Origination: Be well networked with other real estate investors and owners and have the ability to source and originate real estate investment opportunities in the APAC region
- Deal Execution: Lead the end-to-end acquisition process, including financial analysis, due diligence, structuring, negotiations, and closing transactions, ensuring alignment with the firm's investment criteria and risk management guidelines.
- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities in target markets, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Stakeholder Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including institutional investors, local partners, brokers, and governmental agencies, to enhance deal flow and support transaction success.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive successful investment outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 18 years of experience in real estate acquisitions, investment banking, private equity, or related fields, with a strong track record of successful transactions in APAC, particularly in Singapore, Australia, and Hong Kong.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, CAIA) is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling, underwriting, and valuation techniques for real estate assets, with strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and make sound, strategic decisions.
