As the ideal candidate, you will create and lead an innovative Automation, Digital, and Data Science team at our R&D site (at Biopolis) and close to our production site (on Jurong Island). In this position you will be leading strategic innovation program targeting next level of efficiency and improvements by using emerging digital technologies in the chemical production of feed additives. Your role is of significant importance and has high visibility.
Your main responsibilities:
You create and lead a multidisciplinary team of experts and project managers in the field of digital and smart production
You further develop and execute the innovation strategy with regard to smart operation
You create and develop a network with partners and solution providers in the field of digitization of production primarily in the Singapore ecosystem
You initiate, coordinate and steer pilots in the field of digitization of production
You continuously look at possible new digital solutions on the market, develop scopes for pilots and create the corresponding business cases
With your communicative skills, you ensure that everyone involved is always well informed and picked up
You will work through successful pilots and projects together with our global innovation and smart operation team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify business needs, evaluate technology options to drive continuous improvement and competitive advantage
You develop strategic initiatives and present best practices and key industry trends, including developing and delivering new and unique approaches to automation and digital.
You stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies and best practices to identify further opportunities for innovation and improvement
Your profile:
You have successfully completed your studies in the field of Business Informatics, Data Management, Automation Engineering, Chemical Engineering or comparable and showed already passion for digitization in extra- curricular activities
You have gained at least several years of experience in the field of digitization and innovation projects preferably in process industry and you find it very exciting
The terms AI, AR, VR, AGV, IIoT speak to you and pique your interest!
You don't shy away from familiarizing yourself with completely new subject areas
You have an understanding of chemical process technology
You have excellent communication skills and good intercultural competence as well as high sense of responsibility and team spirit
You have sound experience in project management and steering and in dealing with project planning methods and tools.
You have proven experience in forming and leading high performance teams
Fluent in English
