The Institute of Mental Health (IMH) in Singapore, established in 1928, is a premier 2,000-bed psychiatric hospital nestled in Buangkok Green Medical Park, providing comprehensive mental health services across 50 inpatient wards and 7 outpatient clinics, while also playing a pivotal role in training the next generation of mental health professionals through the NHG-AHPL Residency Programme and collaborations with local academic institutions.
We are looking for a Director, Allied Health to oversee the development and implementation of Allied Health (AH) services to support the hospitals clinical objectives.
Reporting to the Assistant Chief Executive Officer, the incumbent will oversee the strategic development and deployment of Allied Health Professionals (AHP) and Support Staff through the AH department heads. This appointment is for a 3-year term and may be extended for a further term.
The Job
As the leader of the Allied Health Division, you will
Strategise the development and deployment of new allied health services and programmes in accordance with IMHs strategic objectives and care transformation as well as national mental health needs
Keep abreast of changes and latest development in Allied Health services in the global and national scenes
Oversee the Allied Health Departments of Case Management Unit, Medical Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Pharmacy, through the AH department heads
Oversee other Allied Health Services such as Speech Therapy, Dietetics, Counsellors, Peer Support Specialists and Allied Health outsourced services such as Podiatry services
Represent Allied Health at IMH Senior Management/EXCO and professional bodies such as the NHG Allied Health Council and other national AHP workgroups
Develop the culture and identity of IMH Allied Health Professionals
Engage in allied health profession-specific clinical work to stay relevant in the profession
Competencies

Ability to coach and drive a team to achieve the Divisions key results areas
Relevant Allied Health degree or its equivalent
Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience with at least 8 years in a leadership role
