Director, Coverage Banker -FI & NBFI - Major Foreign Bank

A major foreign bank with a strong presence in Asia is looking to hire an experienced coverage banker to join their team.

Responsibilities

This role is responsible for the overall growth and development of FI and NBFI business in Southeast Asia (SEA). This team lead role encompasses team management, executing business growth strategy/ initiatives and client engagement, collaborating with regional and global product partners. As the lead, you will develop, broaden and deepen long-term relationships with key FI and NBFI clients in SEA, with a focus on increasing the bank's wallet share, identifying business opportunities, transaction origination, delivering ROE and profitability. Partnering internal stakeholders, you will ensure KYC, compliance and risk parameters are complied with when establishing counterparty limits and credit lines to clients.

Requirements

You hold a Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related discipline and have at least 10 years of relevant experience in financial services. This includes experience in a coverage or product role with strong engagement with FI and NBFI in SEA. You have a sound understanding of banking products including transaction banking, global markets and corporate/debt/structured finance and proven ability in cross-selling these products and services to clients. You have a robust understanding of the FI and NBFI landscape and regulations in this region. Your outstanding communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external clients.
