Role Summary
Integrate various capabilities and expertise of Viatris interdepartmental operations and personnel in pursuit of a seamless connection between the strategic, operational and tactical levels of site level safety wellbeing. Participate with other key leaders in developing and establishing EHS policies. Supervise and ensure the successful integration of these activities with those of other major organizational segments, thus promoting operational success of Environmental, Health and Safety.

The minimum qualifications & competencies for this role are:
KNOWLEDGE
Must possess knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS laws, statutes and regulations. Must possess knowledge of the technical EHS requirements and programs needed for a global company. Must have an understanding of the cultural and national differences as they affect EHS requirements, communications and business practices. Must be proficient with reading and interpreting the Code of Federal Regulations, various Codes of State Regulations and other regulatory standards and advisory criteria. Knowledge of international EHS laws, statutes and regulations is a plus. Knowledge of basic chemistry, chemicals and their properties is preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must possess exceptional leadership skills that encompass visioning, planning, critical thinking and systems thinking, communication, persuading and influencing, problem solving and decision making skills, project management skills and the ability to fix and build operations/programs/processes. Must possess computer skills and Microsoft Office skills.
SUPERVISION
Position reports to the Vice President of Global EH&S. Position functions semi-autonomously with direct supervisory responsibilities. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
