Our client is a reputable Bank here in Singapore and they are looking to grow their APAC Transaction Banking team here in Singapore.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the growth of the bank's trade finance portfolio by identifying and acquiring new clients.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with key decision-makers at corporate clients.
- Act as the primary point of contact for trade finance clients, ensuring excellent service delivery, addressing client queries, and providing customized trade solutions.
- Develop long-term relationships that align with the bank's business objectives.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of trade finance products including letters of credit (LC), export financing, trade receivables discounting, supply chain financing, and documentary collections.
- Be able to present and articulate these products effectively to both internal stakeholders and clients.
- Engage with clients to understand their trade finance requirements, and provide tailored solutions using the bank's suite of products.
- Educate clients on the benefits of trade finance, helping them navigate trade risk, improve liquidity, and optimize working capital.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in transaction banking, with a specific focus on trade finance products and services. Prior experience in sales, relationship management, or business development within trade finance is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets, building client relationships, and driving revenue growth within a competitive market.
- Knowledge and connections to the wider APAC market will be a bonus. Ability to speak other Asian languages will also be a bonus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment, and manage complex transactions and client needs.
- Strong ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships, providing a high level of service and identifying opportunities to enhance client satisfaction.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex trade finance solutions clearly and persuasively. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively.
