Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each child's needs.
- Conduct assessments to identify developmental challenges and progress.
- Design and deliver specialized instruction in areas such as language, motor skills, cognitive development, and social interaction.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to support each child's development.
- Monitor and document each child's progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.
- Create a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
- Provide guidance and support to families, offering strategies for continuing development at home.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review and plan interventions.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Special Education or Specialist Diploma in Early Childhood Intervention (or related field).
- Previous experience in early childhood education, special education, or early intervention settings is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of child development and developmental disorders.
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators, therapists, and parents.
