This individual will be responsible in the development of assigned focus products/applications in our market directly and through sales channels in turn increasing market share.
Job Description:
- Design, implement, integrate, including selection of components, power distribution, and wiring for semi-automated systems which use for final test of Sick products (Tester).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers and stakeholders to ensure that electrical systems of test equipment meets design requirements and SICK product's final test specifications.
- Develop and maintain electrical system specifications, design schematic drawings, and other technical documentation.
- Capable to troubleshoot electrical related problems, when necessary.
- Conduct analyses, simulations, and tests to evaluate electrical systems performance and identify issues.
- Work with tester software team to identify, analyze, and resolve design issues and technical problems related to electrical systems.
- Participate in design reviews with internal and external stakeholders and provide technical guidance and support.
- Ensure that electrical systems comply with industry standards and regulations, including safety standards.
- Follow up with external suppliers, regarding testers timeline and budget control.
- Conduct testers FAT, and MSA prior tester transfer to production plant in Malaysia.
Job Requirements:
- At least a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or any related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong fundamentals in electrical and electronics engineering.
- Ability to design electrical schematics, use electrical engineering tools like oscilloscope, digital multimeters etc. knowhow on instrument and component selection.
- Strong Proficiency in electrical design tools, example E-plan.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent Knowledge in automation & PLC programming is preferred.
- Some Knowledge of similar products to SICK's and experience in its application will be added advantage. (Example: Sensors).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to travel when required.
