Peform installation of cable hanger, cable types, cable identification cable pulling techniques, stuffing tudes and packing, multi transit packing and layout, and terminal sizing.
Perform hookups of lightning, controller, control circuit, lighting panel or power panel hookups
Inspection and electrical testing work
Carry out electrical maintenance, fault finding and monitoring of the equipment
Ensure that electrical work meets all industry and safety standard
To maintain records of all periodic inspection, checklist and relevant documentation per statutory requirement.
To assist in simple facilites electrical maintenance and up keep when necessary.
Requirements:
Ability to read and understand basic electrical engineering drawings
ITE/Nitec or equivalent with at least 2 years working experience preferable in a shipyard environment
Proven experience as an electrician with deep knowledge of electrical systems.
Pleasant personality with positive work attitude
Careful and meticulous with strong trouble shooting and problem solving skills
Prior shipboard electrical experience in preferred.
