About
Building a world where people can safely discover, create and connect. The Trust & Safety (T&S) team at TikTok helps ensure that our global online community is safe and empowered to create and enjoy content across all of our applications. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.
The Emergency Response (ER) team takes on a two-pronged approach to ensure the platform is safe for consumption by not only reacting to emergent situations but also taking a proactive stance on investigation-related matters. The team acts as a vital bridge between teams, coordinating and managing unexpected risks and ensure internal escalations are handled accordingly.
What will I be doing
- You will reconcile escalations by responding to and resolving diverse content safety risks 24/7, and closing the loop with relevant investigations for those incidents;
- You will improve emergency response mechanisms while monitoring the reactive speed and quality to ensure better implementation of emergent action plans;
- You will master various back-end data systems to ensure safety issues are handled effectively;
- You will summarize and compile analytical, retrospective, or data-type investigation-related reports;
- You will lead projects to proactively improve the quality of back-end systems and processes;
- You will collaborate with global cross-functional teams to respond to issues, and communicate with relevant stakeholders to align on strategies.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- You come with a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two-year work experience, preferably in internet content safety and/or risk management;
- You have the ability to work effectively under pressure, with strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with different teams;
- You possess an aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills, with knowledge of social media content and sensitivity to safety issues;
- You pay good attention to detail, are a self-starter with a positive attitude;
- You are fluent in speaking/reading/writing English, with the proficiency in a third language being a huge plus;
Preferred Qualifications
- SQL/Data analytics skills will be a huge plus.
