Engineer I (Procurement)
Job Responsibilities
Support procurement and cost reduction activities through sourcing and price negotiation of new and alternate parts.
Provide technical support on component sourcing and substitution recommendation.
Identify and select vendors to ensure continuity of parts / assemblies to meet customer specification.
Involve in vendor audits and evaluations to drive continuous process and quality improvement.
Establish cost reduction plan with vendors.
Develop effective supply chain management with vendors.
Any other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of experience in commodity management or procurement in Electronics Manufacturing industry is preferred
Experience with managing semiconductor devices.
Knowledge of component knowledge is preferred
Good network of supplier base
Good interpersonal and negotiation skills
Proficient in MS Office applications
