Purpose of the Role
The Engineer, Inspection has a critical role in ensuring that ARLANXEO's plant equipment is maintained to a high level of reliablity via the proper use of Maintainence and Engineering Standards and Codes. Her/his objective will be to ensure compliance with safety standards, local legislation, statutory requirements and regulations as well as Corporate guidelines while performing related duties and all other related works.
Job Description
- Manage and perform all static equipment inspection (pressured equipment, piping, PSV, etc).
- Manage PVMS to MOM CLA extension scheme and Steam/Air equipment RBI.
- Response to plant requirements to mechanical inspection for static and safety devices, Promptly and timely response to requests for assistance to meet execution team expectations
- Provide technical expertise to identify and make recommendation to solve static equipment problems either directly or through accurate identification of a problem and participating with functional engineering team in problem solving.
- Propose improvements of static equipment installation and utilize the LMS management of Change (MOC) process including proper documentation of the change.
- Lead in Static Equipment inspection scoping in major shutdown and turnaround.
- Support unscheduled/emergency or schedule plant shutdown/turnaround as required.
- Support Go-live, deployment and usage of IDMS and Future RBI initiatives.
- Liaise with maintenance planner, engineers and others supervisors to improve PM schedules.
- Supervise the contractor's work in the facility or shop to guarantee safety and quality and reliability of work.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis of failures and develop counter measures to prevent future failing of Equipment.
- Develop work procedures in the area of responsibility.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of maintenance experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical or Chemicals industry.
- Industrial Certifications: API510, API570, AWS-CWI.
- Skilled in Materials selection, Material Degradation Mechanisms and NDT
- Working knowledge of API/ASNE/ASTM/TEMA.
- Familiar with PI, Microsoft Office, Project, Outlook and SAP systems.
- Self-confident and able to work independently with minimum supervision but also, a good team player.
- Good interpersonal, analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
