Job Description Summary

We are looking for a creative, resourceful Mechanical Design Engineer to join us. The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for conceptual / detailed design and will have the opportunity to participate in prototyping, installation, testing and verification of their design.

Key Job Accountabilities

• The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for conceptual / detailed design and will have the opportunity to participate in prototyping, installation, testing and verification of their design.
• This role requires good technical writing skills to produce documentation for submission to Customers and Clients.
• The Mechanical Design Engineer will work with a multi-disciplinary team and exposed to interactions with customers, partners, vendors, and sub-contractors.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Master/Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering
• Well-versed with Solidworks and AutoCAD
• Well-versed with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Able to travel overseas when required
• Minimum 2 years of mechanical design or product development experience
• Good technical writing skill
• Basic knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing processes

Reporting Relationship

• The incumbent reports to Senior Principal Engineer, PSD, Mobility Rail
