The role as an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Engineer, to be part of the Systems Engineering Team to play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective and efficient operation of training and simulation project systems by integrating logistics considerations throughout its lifecycle. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, and project management capabilities to support the planning, development, implementation, and sustainment of logistics support solutions.
Be Part of Our Success
- To assume the lead role of ILS Lead / Engineer for the assigned projects
- Logistics Planning: Develop comprehensive logistics plans in coordination with project managers and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of logistics support throughout the system lifecycle
- Configuration Management: Manage configuration baselines and ensure that logistics requirements are integrated into the overall configuration management process
- Supply Chain and Obsolescence Management: Collaborate with partners, suppliers, and original equipment manufacturers to optimize inventory levels, minimize lead times, ensure timely availability of spare parts and materials, and to trigger discussion for solutions to equipment that are reaching end-of-life
- Reliability Engineering: Analyse system reliability data to identify trends, failure modes, and opportunities for improvement to enhance system availability and performance
- Maintenance Planning: Develop maintenance schedules, procedures, and strategies to minimize downtime and maximize system availability while optimizing maintenance costs
- Technical Documentation: Oversee the development and maintenance of technical documentation, including manuals, training materials, and support documentation, to facilitate effective operation and maintenance of the system
- Training and Support: Coordinate training programs and provide technical support to end-users, maintenance personnel, and other stakeholders to ensure proficiency in system operation and maintenance tasks
- Life Cycle Cost Analysis: Conduct life cycle cost analyses to assess the total cost of ownership and identify opportunities for cost reduction and performance improvement throughout the system lifecycle
- Risk Management: Identify logistics-related risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize potential disruptions to system operation and support activities
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics processes, optimize resource utilization, and streamline logistics support activities
Qualities We Value
- Entry level candidates are welcome
- Candidates with more than 3 years of relevant experience may be considered for more senior positions
- Demonstrate ability to quickly understand and apply technical concepts principles to solve problems with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management principles
- Practical understanding of ILS standards and experience and reliability engineering concepts
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams
- Ability to prioritize and manage time on multiple simultaneous projects
- Experience in defence, vehicle, aerospace, marine or other complex systems environments will be an advantage
- Working location is at Ang Mo Kio and occasionally travelling is required
