To assist the O&M Manager in supervising a team of Assistant Engineers (AE) and Technical Officers (TO) to respond, investigate, and perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) to the monorail system in compliance with the relevant standard procedures and work instructions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the team of AEs and TOs in performing PM and CM tasks in compliance with the relevant Standard Operating Procedures and instructions contained in Quality Procedures, Work Specifications, Work Instructions, and any relevant change instructions disseminated.
- Supervises and ensures that PM and CM works are executed in accordance with the established standard procedures / requirements.
- Responsible for the safety of self, and peers at the workplace off and on trackside throughout the working period.
- Prepares ATW/PTW for Sentosa Monorail systems equipment PM or CM works for Sentosa Development Corporation's (SDC) approval.
- Ensures plan scheduled PM and CM are performed timely.
- Carries out monitoring, review, and follow-up where appropriate on Monorail systems and equipment performance under his charge.
- Manages and controls maintenance spares.
- Plans the yearly and monthly maintenance schedule for all trains, and depot equipment as well as the night work schedule to meet SDC contract requirements.
- Coordinates with SDC pertaining to the schedule of PM, CM works, equipment tests, and other ad-hoc jobs.
- Liaise/coordinates with subcontractors in the servicing and the MOM certification of depot equipment and ensures that works are completed on time and meet SDC's requirement.
- Prepares minutes of meetings and attends progress meetings with SDC.
- Prepares SMM monthly maintenance report.
- Performs SMM administration works including planning of duty roster, approval of OT, leave, petty cash submission, staff coverage, etc.
- Draft all relevant documents like work instructions, work records, etc.
- Certification of staff (AE/TO) after staff have satisfied all the necessary training requirements.
- Raise PRs and evaluation of the RFQ submission.
- Manage and execute Variation Orders (VOs).
- May be required to report for work after office hours on ad-hoc basis, mainly for night trainings or covering of duties for the AEs when they are on Annual/Medical Leave.
- Perform tasks assigned by the supervisor as and when required.
- Working location at Sentosa.
Qualifications and Work Experience
- Recognized Degree or equivalent in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering, with at least two (2) years of relevant working experience in railway maintenance/ workshop, or
- Recognized Diploma or equivalent in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering, with at least five (5) years of relevant working experience in railway maintenance/ workshop.
Skills and Competencies

- Good understanding of production assembly setup and process.
- Good in preparing monthly reports / technical design knowledge.
