Job Description
- Managing a team of multi-diciplinary engineers in undertakingement detailed design and tender documentation for the and co-ordination of the review/approval of Design and Technical submissions from the Contractors for all Waste to Energy (WTE) and Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), Sludge Incineration Facility (SIF). and Food Waste Treatment Facility (FWTF) (admin support to be provided by Core team members)
- Liaison and interfacing with other disciplines in the Core and RSS Teams as may be required in order to achieve thisEvaluate the techncial aspects of tenders received by the Client for the construction contracts
- Direct liaison with Client's Technical Directors
- Reviewing and monitoring the Contractor's design submittals schedule
- Chairing regular Design Review Coordination Meetings with the Contractors and/or Other Contractors on adjacent sites
- Technical support to the Resident Site StaffSS team relating to equipment during the construction/erection and commissioning phases
- The EDM shall be rResponsible for the overall technical accuracy and adequacy of the work i.e. the contractor's deliverables for their design under their EPC contracts
- Any other matters that may from time to time be delegated by the PD/PM.
Requirements
The individual shall be:-
- a Professional Engineer/Chartered Engineer registered in his/her country of practice is preferred
- with a minimum of 15 years of relevant engineering experience in delivery of large-scale industrial/utilities projects (e.g. waste, water, oil & gas, power) and relevant experience in delivering large-scale solid waste management projects (e.g. waste-to-energy, sludge incineration, materials recovery and food waste treatment)
It will be added advantage if the individual has:-
- Undertaken similar role in the last 10 years
- Has worked in Singapore previously.
- Good project and programme management skills -
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Excellent interpersonal skills
