SUMMARY
We are actively seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager with a minimum of 10 years of experience, particularly in startup environments. As a pivotal member of our DevSecOps, core engineering, and production management team, you will play a crucial role in developing, deploying, and supporting a petabyte-scale, cloud-based data platform featuring both batch and real-time feeds. Operating in a fast-paced and iterative Agile environment, you will collaborate closely with frontend and risk platform developers, to create a resilient and maintainable system that exceeds client expectations. Additionally, you will work alongside our research team to ensure high-quality data for their needs and contribute to overall application design and best practices in collaboration with the CTO.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee team dynamics and project timelines, ensuring alignment with Agile methodologies.
Conduct peer reviews of both code and design for junior developers.
Lead development of cloud-native systems with Docker and Kubernetes on public cloud platforms.
Lead the development of intricate data pipelines for real-time and batch-based services.
Collaborate with quant researchers to integrate new data feeds effectively.
Lead the development of automated regression and load tests.
SKILLS REQUIRED
Minimum of 10 years of IT industry experience.
Proven experience in startup environments.
Expertise in server-side Python/Java microservice development.
Proficiency in building REST, GRPC, and Websockets-based APIs.
Familiarity with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop Ecosystem, Flink, Spark Streaming, Redis, Pulsar, Kafka, or equivalent stacks.
Knowledge of data security best practices, including encryption, masking, and fine-grained data access control.
Experience deploying reliable, scalable cloud-based platforms on Kubernetes.
Comfortable collaborating with data scientists and quantitative researchers.
Adaptability to a fast-paced environment with Agile development methodology.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring high delivery quality.
SKILLS DESIRED
Experience with second-generation data engineering packages like Dagster and Apache Flink.
Knowledge of the digital asset market or traditional markets (Equities, FX, and Fixed Income).
Azure cloud deployment experience.
