The Global Citizen Academy is The Global Citizen Education Group's flagship enrichment arm, which offers a suite of enrichment programs in the areas of public speaking, global citizenship, leadership, debate, Model United Nations amongst others.

Since 2015, The Global Citizen Academy has created unique student experiences for learners in Singapore and around the Asia-Pacific region. Our programs are designed to offer students engaging, innovative, and exciting educational experiences to hone their skills and gain knowledge outside the classroom. Through our in-person and virtual platforms, we strive to offer our students the very best in co-curricular education.

JOB OVERVIEW

The Global Citizen Academy is looking for someone with strong expertise in teaching English curriculum for students learning English as a second language and with experience in teaching English Programs whether locally under MOE certified syllabus or internationally under SATS/IELTS/TOEFL.

The trainer should have a degree in English with at least 1-year relevant teaching experience in English exam preparation and/ or teaching English as a second language for students aged 9 to 18 years old. The trainer will be conducting lessons with materials provided by The Global Citizen Education Group. This position is based in Singapore, and trainers are expected to travel to schools for on-site training programmes. The terms of engagement and remuneration will be on a per programme basis.

Trainers would work as a freelancer, should reside in Singapore and be an MOE-IRS certified instructor.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct engaging training sessions for students based on the curriculum developed by TGCEG.
• Provide feedback on student's performance and behaviour periodically.
• Execute classroom management for small group lessons.
• Tailor teaching methods and content to accommodate the diverse learning needs and interests of students.

QUALIFICATIONS

• MOE-IRS certified instructor
• Preferred 1 year of relevant teaching/ mentorship experience in Primary/ Secondary schools.
• Good command of the English language, both written and verbal
• Strong communication skills
• Professional and able to work independently.
• Passionate about teaching
