Guides and mentors new Assistant Nurses in their duties.
Performs nursing procedures eg. Surgical dressing, feeding and bathing of residents
Check residents daily in the morning and treats the residents for sores, ring worms and scabies, and refers sick residents to the Medical Room
Assist staff nurse to observe residents with minor ailments eg diarrhea, headache and report to Senior Staff Nurse / Staff Nurse for referral to consult Doctor.
Observes/cares for sick residents in the sick bay
Clean and disinfect all instruments used during dressing
Clean and disinfect skin treatment room daily.
Packing of medicine for residents to be done a day in advance
Serves milk (ENSURE) drinks to weak and under-weight residents
Assists in physiotherapy exercises (if needed)
Ensure that the nurse station, medical treatment room, and medical consultation room are clean and neat at all times
To assist in Doctor's rounds
To inform SSN/SN if any medical equipment is damage or faulty
Participates in In-service and other educational programme
Assist to do changes after TCU.
Top up charts every Sundays, or as and when needed.
