Job Overview:
- The ESG Manager will lead the development and execution of the company's sustainability strategy, ensuring compliance with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards. The role focuses on enhancing long-term value creation while promoting responsible corporate practices. The ESG Manager will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to advance sustainability initiatives and maintain transparency in ESG performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Environmental Responsibility:
- Environmental Strategy Development: Evaluate the company's environmental impact across areas such as energy use, waste management, and carbon emissions. Create and implement strategies to minimize environmental impact and promote sustainability.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to environmental regulations, overseeing environmental audits, and preparing compliance reports.
- Sustainable Projects: Lead initiatives focused on green energy adoption, carbon footprint reduction, and circular economy practices to promote long-term sustainability.
Social Responsibility:
- Employee Welfare: Promote a safe, diverse, and inclusive workplace, ensuring the implementation of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) policies.
- Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships with local communities through philanthropic activities, corporate volunteering, and social investment projects.
- Supply Chain Responsibility: Oversee the social responsibility practices of suppliers to ensure compliance with labor rights, safety standards, and other social benchmarks.
Corporate Governance:
- Governance and Compliance: Ensure that corporate governance structures and decisions adhere to legal and ethical standards.
- Risk Management: Identify ESG-related risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Reporting and Transparency: Produce regular ESG reports and maintain transparent communication with shareholders and stakeholders regarding sustainability efforts.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Collaboration: Work with various stakeholders, including investors, government agencies, and NGOs, to drive ESG initiatives.
- ESG Ratings: Monitor and enhance the company's performance across various ESG rating platforms to attract sustainable investors.
- Policy and Market Trends: Track global ESG policy developments and adjust corporate strategies to stay compliant with changing market and regulatory environments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Science, Sustainability Studies, Business Administration (sustainability focus), Public Policy, or relevant field.
- At least 10 years of work experience, including 5+ years in ESG management with strong familiarity with ESG standards and frameworks.
- Previous experience in corporate or project management is highly valued.
- Strong communication, coordination, and collaboration skills.
- Prior experience in the electronics manufacturing industry is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel frequently and work abroad in China and Vietnam for a minimum of 10 months per year (includes four round-trip tickets to Singapore annually and separate arrangements for living accommodations).
