The Events Lead is responsible for driving revenue through two key areas: internal and external events. This role involves selling our restaurant spaces to corporate clients for events and large delivery orders, as well as managing our participation in key festivals and pop-up events throughout the year.
Responsibilities:
. Create and implement strategies to meet revenue targets by selling event spaces in our restaurants to corporate clients, including large group bookings and bulk delivery orders.
. Identify potential corporate clients and establish strong relationships with key decision-makers. Maintain communication with existing clients, identify upselling opportunities, and provide excellent customer service.
. Prepare proposals, arrange site visits, and negotiate with prospective clients to secure bookings.
. Oversee the planning and execution of client events, including setup, execution, and teardown.
. Conduct market research to identify leads, stay informed about competitor offerings, and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
. Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and chefs, to ensure alignment and successful event delivery.
. Identify and manage opportunities for pop-up events at festivals and oversee and execute the brand's participation in key yearly external events.
. Coordinate the activities of personnel, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure all aspects of the event are successfully executed.
. Liaise with relevant authorities to secure necessary submissions and approvals, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
. Provide regular reports on sales performance, achievements, and challenges.
Requirements
. A minimum of two years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the event management or hospitality industry.
. Knowledge in Gebiz is a plus
. Confident, able to work with minimum supervision to strict deadlines and remain calm under pressure
. Highly organised with excellent prioritisation skills - able to multitask and manage multiple events at the same time
. Excellent communication skills and confidence to interact with people at all levels face to face, whether in writing or over the phone
. Highly numerate
. Working hours are typically 10:30AM to 7:30PM, Monday to Friday with the expectation to work flexible hours (early, late, weekends) as required based on event needs. In these instances, days in lieu applies for weekend/public holiday
