Position Overview
ed&c is seeking a dynamic and experienced Event Manager to join our team. The Event Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of events, from corporate activations and product launches to experiential marketing campaigns and brand activations. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a creative mindset to deliver flawless events that exceed client expectations and leave a lasting impact on attendees.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with clients to understand their event objectives, brand identity, and target audience, ensuring alignment with ED&C's creative vision and strategic goals.
- Develop comprehensive event plans, timelines, and budgets, outlining key deliverables, milestones, and resource requirements for each project.
- Source and manage vendor relationships, including venues, catering services, audiovisual providers, and other event suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of services.
- Coordinate logistics for events, including transportation, accommodations, permits, and security, to ensure smooth execution and compliance with legal and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the creative team to conceptualize and design event experiences that align with client objectives and enhance brand visibility.
- Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown, managing onsite staff and volunteers to ensure seamless operations and a positive guest experience.
- Monitor event performance and attendee feedback, conducting post-event evaluations to measure success against predefined KPIs and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in event management, incorporating innovative ideas and strategies into ed&c's event offerings.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the event planning process, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and managing expectations to ensure client satisfaction.
- Knowledge in carpentry production, technical knowledge of Audio visual and lights are essential for this position
Requirements for this position
- Minimum diploma / degree in hospitality, Events management or related disciplines
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in event planning and management; manage, plan, organize and execute a wide range of successful events from inception to completion, within budget, preferably within the events agency or experiential marketing industry.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Creative mindset with a passion for delivering innovative event experiences that captivate audiences and drive brand engagement.
- Event experience in motorshow, concert, and/or music festival is a plus.
- Able to work evenings, weekends and public holiday as needed for event setup and onsite management
