The role
We are looking for an experienced Event Manager who will be responsible for the delivery of excellent events and activations.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering large scale public events, pop-ups, media launches and corporate events.
They must demonstrate excellent organisational skills, creative skills, ability to negotiate with suppliers, and communication skills together with proven management experience to motivate and lead an event team.
The Event Manager will be required to oversee all aspects of event planning and management and will be the leader for the end-to-end delivery for all our events.
The ideal candidate will be a natural leader, who is passionate about events with an inquisitive mind eager to learn more about the subject matter and able to engage in conversations with attendees and performers/entertainers/speakers/VIPs.
This role demands an expert in all aspects of event planning, including project management, timeline creation, AV and production oversight, budget control, venue scouting, equipment logistics, spatial design, staffing, vendor selection/negotiation and management.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain event project timelines, adhering to schedules and deadlines, and conduct regular project meetings with team members.
Develop and adhere to project budgets and quotations.
Source, negotiate with, and manage event suppliers to procure event services and supplies.
Collaborate with Event Designer to create unique and memorable spatial design for a range of lifestyle and consumer events and activations.
Scope out the design needs of marketing and on-site communications materials for an event or activation and then collaborate with the design team to execute the deliverables.
Collaborate with the Event Designer, Fabricators and Vendors to meet event deadlines.
Ensure the information and content on event microsites are updated at all times.
Track and manage all event deliverables and handle communication with clients.
Identify potential partnerships and sponsorship opportunities.
Handle and oversee the license application required for an event or activation to take place.
Be responsible for the set-up and teardown of all events, including creating a production timeline, pre-briefings with vendors, site recces, venue owner communications and negotiations.
Create post-event success report that includes key statistics such as attendance figures, redemption numbers, on-ground sentiments, etc.
Provide on-site management and support on the day of the event.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years experience in event management, production, marketing or communications.
Demonstrated success running events and activations of small and large scales.
In-culture knowledge about fashion, lifestyle and trends that can inform your decisions around event design, touchpoints and programming.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, G Suite, presentation software.
Some knowledge of SketchUp is a bonus.
