As a Event Streaming Engineer in the Enabling Platforms division, you will be responsible for the building, improvement and scaling of our streaming data platform across different clouds. This role requires a combination of strong technical skills, deep understanding of distributed systems and event streaming ecosystem including different messaging systems, protocols, connectors, as well as excellent communication abilities.
Make An Impact By
- Design, implement, and manage Kafka-based data pipelines and messaging solutions to support critical business operations and enable real-time data processing.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain different messaging platform, ensuring high availability and scalability to maximize uptime and support business growth.
- Have good understanding of AWS and Azure to build event streaming solutions in cloud
- Monitor Kafka performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted data flow, enhancing decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate messaging solutions into applications and services.
- Develop and maintain connectors such as CDC, JDBC,S3 etc connectors, along with topics and schemas, to streamline data ingestion from databases, NoSQL data stores, and cloud storage, enabling faster data insights.
- Thorough understanding of Event Driven Architectures and event patterns
- Understanding of one or more messaging platform (Solace, NATS, Cloud Native Brokers) and messaging protocols.
- Implement security measures to protect clusters and data streams, safeguarding sensitive information and maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Automate Event Streaming cluster operations using infrastructure-as-code tools like to increase operational efficiency and reduce manual overhead.
- Stay updated with the latest Event Streaming features, updates, and industry best practices to continuously improve platform and stay ahead of industry trends.
Skills For Success
- BE/BTech in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- 5-8 Years of working experience
- Technical Skills - Distributed Systems, Kafka, Solace, Connectors, Schema registry, Puppet/Ansible, Confluence, Bitbucket, JIRA , CI/CD
