What you will doThe intern will assist in the planning, coordination and execution of internal and external facing HCA events, to enhance HCAs brand experience and equity among key stakeholder groups and the general public. He/she will work closely with the event management team at HCA and will partake in projects and tasks that will effectively upgrade the image and branding of HCA through beneficiary-facing and public events, amongst other duties.
- Key duties, depending on skillset availability, shall include:
Events and logistics management (core duty);
- Curation of user experience at events to enhance brand loyalty;
Visual design for event collaterals and other necessities;- Media production photography and video production;
All other tasks as assigned.
The intern can expect on-the-job training and mentorship, and will gain a better understanding of:
- The function and responsibilities of a corporate communications team;
Functionalities and considerations behind event planning and management;
- A glimpse into what hospice and palliative care entails and greater appreciation for this meaningful, yet often side-lined subject;
General understanding of the non-profit/social service landscape and the unique challenges and considerations that come with it
Students currently pursuing a local or private diploma in Business, Marketing, Events Management, Communications, Community Development or relevant Effective writing and communication skills
- Able to commit at least 3 - 6 months internship during the period of September 2024 - March 2025 (Flexible start date)
Part time internship can be considered (4 working days)- Weekend work only on event date (about 2-3 events for the period of internship - off in lieu given)
