Responsibilities
Position Purpose:
Reporting to the Marketing Manager - APAC, the Events Manager is responsible for the end-to-end planning of all third party and company hosted events (in-person and virtual) for the APAC region. The candidate will set up kick off calls to discuss event goals with stakeholders, create and manage promotional plans and event timelines, build registration sites using Cvent and On24, work with marketing production teams for the delivery of event support materials and promotional items, and follow event processes accurately to ensure best practice is maintained consistently across all events to match those carried out across EMEA and the US.
Primary duties will include:
- Create promotional plans/timelines per event
- Manage internal review processes for event marketing deliverables
- Liaise with venues, suppliers and third party organizers
- Work closely with the Global Events Team to ensure consistency in event planning processes for APAC, EMEA and the US
- Adhere to existing event processes determined by the VP Global Events to ensure stakeholders are correctly submitting event requests in a timely manner to allow for optimum promotional windows
- Act as an intermediary between marketing and event stakeholders
- Manage final proofing and compliance approval processes for event marketing deliverables
- Uphold corporate branding guidelines at all times
- Coordinate launching the promotion for each event with the StoneX Marketing team, including (but not limited to):
- Social media
- Email
- Website
- Build and test registration sites using Cvent
- Coordinate with third party event and tradeshow organizers to ensure participation in and sponsorships of third-party events is organized and deliverables are managed in a timely manner
- Other event management tasks as assigned by manager
- Ability to travel to in-person events when required (national and international)
- Lead generation campaigns
- Taking full responsibility for assigned Events start-finish
Qualifications
To land this role you will need:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in event planning both company-hosted events and third party events
- Experience with On24
- Experience with Salesforce
- Experience with Cvent
- Knowledge of financial services
- Fluent in additional language (preference: Mandarin Chinese)
