Execution Lead - Energy Solutions
The Execution Lead will be tasked with overseeing the delivery of digital solutions that support the energy transition in the maritime industry. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the successful implementation of energy solutions on ships, working in close collaboration with product engineering, supply chain, external partners, and suppliers. The Execution Lead will take ownership over the execution phase and be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end execution process. Ensuring multiple projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards.
What you will work on:
- Lead Project Execution: Leading the planning, execution and operationalization of solutions focused on decarbonisation for the maritime sector. Ensuring smooth acceptance testing, installation, integration and commissioning of energy solutions onto fleets or multiple ships, managing timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Collaboration: Partnering in cross-functional teams to coordinate efforts, ensuring that energy solutions are manufactured and delivered according to contract requirements and specifications.
- Technical Documentation: Overseeing the completion and delivery of comprehensive technical documentation packages inclusive of master document list and procedures for installations and commissioning meeting regulatory, safety, and customer-specific requirements.
- Support on Projects: Occasionally project leading by executing ontime-bound WSS initiatives and venture projects .
- Stakeholder Management: Ensuring clear communication of project scope, RASCI, technical requirements, and progress reporting among all key stakeholders.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensuring all solutions and documentation delivered meet maritime regulatory standards and environmental guidelines.
- Risk Management: Identifying potential risks in project execution and proactively developing risk mitigation strategies to address technical, operational, or financial challenges.
- Safety and compliance: Acting as a champion of a strong safety culture. Ensuring that all project execution activitiescomply with relevant safety standards and maritime safety regulations as well as all relevant safety risk assessments are conducted and safety protocols during installations on shipboard operations are enforced.
- System Operationalization: Leading the transition from delivery to operational use, ensuring that the installed solutions are fully functional, integrated into ship operations and appropriately endorsed. Coordinating with customers and onboard teams to provide guidance, training, technical, aftermarket support during the initial operational phase.
- Continuous Improvement: Leading efforts to improve project execution, ensuring best practices are followed and lessons learned are applied to future projects. Providing feedback to sales, offer development, product engineering and supply chain on improvements potentials.
- Team management: Managing and leading a team of project associates when required during expansion of the project execution group.
Who you will work with:
The Execution Lead - Energy Solutions will report to Business Director Energy Solutions. Working closely with product engineering, procurement, supply chain, digital, port service engineers, external partners and suppliers. Whilst acting as the key point of contact between the customer, company, and other external stakeholders in the execution stage.
What you need to succeed in the role:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maritime Studies, or related technical field.
- 7+ years of experience in project management or execution roles within the maritime or offshore energy sectors.
- Commitment to safety: proven track record in promoting and enforcing safety protocols in maritime or industrial environments
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams, including engineering, suppliers, and partners, to deliver complex technical projects.
- Certifications in project management a plus.
- Fluent English - both writing and speaking.
