JOB PURPOSE
The Assistant IRB Analyst (AA) supports the administrative functions of the NHG Domain Specific Review Board (DSRB) operations. He/She will serve as a resource for investigators regarding the adaptation and implementation of DSRB policies, procedures and forms, and will oversee the administrative process of the DSRB domain to ensure the smooth operations of the domain. He/she will also support the department functions in tasks and projects as assigned.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares outcome letters in a timely manner.
Assists in preparation of materials for circulation to the review board members.
Assists in preparation of email reminders to review board members.
Provides administrative support for the review boards meetings, including arranging for meeting logistics, book meeting room, presentation equipment, etc.
Performs administrative and simple preliminary reviews of study amendments, continuing reviews, non-compliances, UPIRTSO, and other notifications in a timely manner to ensure completeness of submission and correctness of information.
Maintains proper records of documents through filing and uploading in electronic storage platforms.
Performs data extraction, collation of information, prepare reports and presentation slides using data, when required.
Serves as a resource for investigators regarding the adaptation and implementation of DSRB policies, procedures and forms.
Assists in drafting WIs to ensure clarity and consistency in work processes, as required.
Supports in quality improvement and quality assurance initiatives, as required.
Assists in organizing research ethics seminars and training sessions.
Be involved in cross coverage plans for other Assistant IRB Analysts.
Performs any other ad hoc related duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education/Training/Experience
A Level /Diploma of any discipline or equivalent.
Preferably with at least 1-2 years of experience as administrative support staff. Experience in a Healthcare/Clinical Research Industry or in supporting the IRB/DSRB operations in key administrative functions preferred, but not mandatory.
Proficient in MS Office applications essential.
