COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Established since 1973, Singapore Logistics Association (SLA) envisions representing Singapore logistics with a mission to promote professionalism and excellence of the logistics industry.
As a trade association and strong fraternity advocate, its membership of close to 670 business entities offers a diverse scope of logistics and logistics ancillary support services.
SLA fulfils its objects in close collaboration and engagement with logistics companies, academia, trade associations, business partners, government agencies, international organisations and professionals.
SLA contributes to logistics capability building through its training arm, The Logistics Academy, a registered Private Education Institute that offers quality training and lifelong learning for the logistics workforce.
DESIGNATION : Executive Officer Corporate and Industry Development
RESPONSIBILITIES
Corporate
To render full secretariat support, including reception duties, mailing, filing, liaising with vendors on maintenance of office equipment and procuring office supplies.
Manage, respond to or redirect inquiries received through the SLA mail, ensuring prompt and professional communication.
To assist to coordinate meetings and events organized by respective corporate and industry committees.
To maintain the claims, prepare payment vouchers, handle all receipts, banking and furnish such records to the SLA appointed accountant and auditor.
To implement and comply with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 quality management system.
Prepare presentation slides, meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions for relevant committees and working groups.
Membership
Oversee the day-to-day operations of membership services, including member onboarding, renewals, and inquiries.
Maintain and update the membership database to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Develop and implement strategies to attract new members and retain existing ones.
Coordinate member engagement activities, including networking events, workshops, and webinars.
Industry Development:
Assist in the development and execution of industry development programmes and initiatives.
Collaborate with industry partners, government agencies, and stakeholders to identify growth and improvement opportunities.
Conduct research and analysis on industry trends and challenges to support programmes and initiatives development.
To coordinate participation of SLA delegates in international events.
Communications:
Assist in content creation, design and distribution for social media platforms, newsletters, website updates, annual reports and marketing materials.
Support event planning and coordination, including preparing promotional materials, managing logistics, and providing on-site assistance.
Provide administrative assistance, including managing communication calendars, support internal communications initiatives, and monitor media coverages.
To perform other duties assigned time to time.
