Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Executive/Senior Executive is responsible for organising and overseeing the Tours Engagement and assisting in developing and implementing meaningful place-making and outreach projects such as exhibitions and cultural-related programmes to enhance the cultural and social vibrancy of Singapore Sports Hub community spaces.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage and conduct engaging and impactful cultural and venue tours for diverse audiences, including schools, community groups, and tourists
  • Support with the planning, organising, administration and implementation of place-making and outreach projects, such as exhibitions and arts-related programmes that align with the Kallang Alive Masterplan and Sports Hub's vision and mission
  • Carry out research in emerging trends of Arts, Sports, Lifestyle and Culture to ideate topics and create content
  • Support the development and maintenance of meaningful long-term relationships with key stakeholders, external programme partners and community networks
  • Work closely with the Team, to coordinate, organise and welcome school and corporate visits to the Singapore Sports Museum
  • Coordinate with other inter-departments, such as Marketing and Communications team, for marketing and publicity collateral
  • Coordinate evaluation of programmes, including collecting, analyzing and reporting feedback, providing valuable insights to inform, improve and implement areas of improvements as needed
  • Assist with record keeping, documenting, and archiving project documents, content files, audio-visual materials etc
  • Providing secretariat support during team and group-level meetings
  • Supporting other ad-hoc, special projects or other events as assigned

Required Skills

  • Experience or demonstrable interest in developing and managing outreach programmes for the general public
  • Possess some knowledge or experience of working in museums, galleries or arts-related institutions and organizations
  • Excellent research, writing, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptable and creative with strong organizational skills, able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Meticulous and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Applications (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator is a plus
  • Knowledge in International Museum Standards and Practices including archive principles and professional code of ethics and practices is a plus
  • Availability and willingness to work on evenings, weekends and public holidays, depending on the nature and schedules of the programmes

Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma/Degree in Arts Management/Arts Education/History/Social Sciences/ Events Management/Hospitality or museum/gallery-related fields
  • Minimum 1- 2 years of relevant working experience preferred
  • Keen interest in arts, sports, culture, heritage, museums and galleries
